Disability Services Australia: Transferred casual to permanent

It has been brought to our attention that Disability Services Australia is in the process of converting its casual employees to permanent roles. This is to be commended as a good step for staff, DSA and the residents and clients.
If you are a transferred casual on a copied state award (The Community Living Award) you are able to be converted to a permanent ongoing position and maintain your award conditions. There is no reason for you to be moved to the Social, Homecare, Community and Disability Services Award (SCHDS).
The CPSU NSW has not entered into any agreement with DSA regarding transferred casual staff.
If you are a casual transferred employee and have been declined a permanent ongoing role because of your award and other staff have been employed, please notify us on 1800 772 679 and quote Call Number 124774.
