DFSI Better Regulation restructure union consultation – July 2016 (PDF version)
On 23 June, the Department of Finance Services & Innovation (DFSI) released its draft Restructure Management Plan (RMP) for Better Regulation Division which pertained to Policy, State Insurance Regulatory Authority (SIRA) and Program Delivery.
The consultation period for this RMP closes at 2pm on Wednesday, 13 July.
On 1 July, DFSI released a second draft RMP for Better Regulation Division which pertained to SafeWork.
The consultation period for this RMP closes at 2pm on Wednesday, 20 July.
The new role descriptions have not been published for either restructure and it is the view of the É«ÀÇÉçÇøthat members and the union must be furnished with those role descriptions at the beginning of the consultation period to allow for full and proper comment.
The É«ÀÇÉçÇøis seeking an extension to the consultation period on each of these RMPs equal to DFSI’s delay in publishing new role descriptions.
Affected É«ÀÇÉçÇømembers in both SIRA and Safework are asked to submit any feedback, comments, concerns or questions they may have on either RMP directly to É«ÀÇÉçÇøIndustrial Advocate, Matthew Drake-Brockman by 5pm on Friday 8 July.
In addition to general feedback, we are also seeking any examples of specific scenarios where the selection process is not clear.
Thereafter, the É«ÀÇÉçÇøintends to conduct two member meetings to discuss and collate feedback on each RMP to then present to management.
