Corporate Staff protected from cuts
The 色狼社区received a Budget Briefing from the Department of Education. The Government decided to exclude Schools from the impact of the Efficiency Dividend and while this was excellent news for SAS Staff, General Assistants and other staff & students the 色狼社区was very concerned about the impact this would have on our members in the Department that provide such vital support to Schools.
The General Secretary of the 色狼社区Stewart Little wrote to Education to outline our concerns and to seek a meeting with the Education Department Secretary. See a copy of Stewart Little鈥檚 letter HERE.
Stewart has received a response from the Department that states 鈥淭he Department will meet its obligations in this regard without affecting the employment of corporate staff鈥. See a copy of the Departments letter HERE.
The Department is to be commended for providing this assurance that members will be able to continue the valuable work they do without being concerned about the Efficiency Dividend affecting their employment.
