CPSUNSW Update: ‘We’ll fight this’, Union rejects ugly Northcott plan to cut jobs and wages

Northcott has advised the union that it intends to proceed with a proposed restructure of disability services that includes:
- making the MAR positions redundant and not replacing the role
- making Team Leader positions redundant and offering existing staff employment as a Service Coordinator on a massively reduced salary
- moving CARs and DSWs on to Northcott position descriptions, while maintaining the copied state-award conditions
The CPSU NSW is in the process of lodging a dispute with Northcott in relation to the proposed changes.
We strongly advise members to hold off on agreeing to the changes until the dispute is resolved with Northcott.
