Community Corrections Workload Focus Groups

The É«ÀÇÉçÇøhas been advocating on your behalf to resolve the significant workload issues in Community Corrections. As a result of discussion with Community Corrections, the Department has established two focus groups with the É«ÀÇÉçÇøon Friday, 6 December 2019 to discuss institutional and community workload issues.
The É«ÀÇÉçÇøhad a focus group teleconference with É«ÀÇÉçÇødelegates and focus group participants on 5 December 2019 and settled the following agenda items:
- Staffing levels
- Workload weighting and changes to legislation and policies
- Updating institutional workload model
- Travel and Regional issues including WHS and fatigue
- DV and electronic monitoring
- Unit Leader allocations.
The É«ÀÇÉçÇøthanks delegates and members for the feedback and will provide a further report to members at the conclusion of the focus groups.
