Child Protection Award – É«ÀÇÉçÇøholding online forums

An outcome of last year’s salaries offer between the É«ÀÇÉçÇømembership and the Government was that for the first time an Award would be negotiated between the parties for the Child Protection Workforce.
We have meant several times already to determine which positions were in this workforce and more crucially, what conditions of employment would be included in the Award.
One of the key conditions obviously is salaries – what grading positions are currently held at.
To review a grading requires an examination of the current Role Description and whether it accurately reflects the duties of the job. The PSA’s position has been that many positions in community services are under graded because over time the work has become more complex and financially under recognised.
We are consequently holding a number of online forums to obtain feedback about what particular positions in community services now do and what is not reflected in the Role Description.
