Better Regulation Division: Restructure consultation
3 August 2021
The É«ÀÇÉçÇøhas received notification from the Department regarding two current restructures within the Better Regulation Division.
-
Liquor and Gaming – Licensing and Funds Division: Repoint
The É«ÀÇÉçÇøhas been advised that this repoint is a change in the reporting lines for two teams that will see direct reports now to either:
- Regulatory Schemes Building
- Business and Workplace Safety
- Liquor and Gaming.
The É«ÀÇÉçÇøunderstands that town hall meetings have been had with staff. The current consultation process commenced on 30 July and will continue through to 6 August (one week).
The É«ÀÇÉçÇøis mindful of the short time frame for consultation. However, as there are no role reductions associated with this change, unless additional concerns are raised with the É«ÀÇÉçÇøto warrant otherwise, we will look to work within the current timeframe.
-
Research Evaluation Directorate (Community Engagement Stream): Realignment
The consultation for this realignment commenced on 2 August and will continue through to 16 August (two weeks).
The current proposal will affect five current ongoing Clerk Grade 11/12 Manager roles, which will be reduced to three by way of an EOI process. Staff who are not successful will be managed in accordance with the Managing Excess Employees Policy.
An additional four new Senior Officer Grade 9/10 roles will also be created. The current ongoing staff in 3/4-9/10 roles will then be mapped to the relevant functional team.

The É«ÀÇÉçÇøalways encourages members to engage directly with the consultation process. However, we also understand that some members would prefer to provide feedback through the PSA, which we are happy to do.
For affected members wanting to provide feedback to any of these restructures you can send your questions and/or comments through to . The É«ÀÇÉçÇøwill not identify you unless specifically instructed by you to do so.
