AHPRA Bulletin and Members Meeting

AHPRA Bulletin and Members Meeting

  24 August 2022

Following an improved offer from ÌýAHPRA, the Unions have responded to ÌýAHPRA with this proposal.

The latest Union proposals are highlighted as follows.

  1. Here is the three-year agreement for the salary increase. All dates are from the first full pay period after the date:
    • 3.0 per cent from 1 July 2022
    • 3.0 per cent from 1 July 2023
    • 3.0 per cent from 1 July 2024
    • Lump sum of $1000 paid asap after a successful yes vote and a further lump sum of $500 paid with the July 2023 pay increase – agreed.
    • Agreement to expire 30 June 2025 – agreed.
  1. AHPRA have withdrawn their claim to insert the capacity to place an employee on no pay who has been charged with a serious criminal offense that has a term of imprisonment of 2 years or more. Instead, AHPRA will use the existing provisions under our code of conduct and the enterprise agreement provisions dealing with serious misconduct – agreed.
  2. Changes that AHPRA have have been adjusted to reflect a 3-year agreement. In particular, I draw your attention to the adjusted increases in primary and non-primary carer leave – the Unions want ÌýAHPRA to keep the status quo for Personal leave.
  3. AHPRA have also inserted into the previously updated diversity and inclusion clause (Clause 15), a reference to dealing with pay equity and have indicated they would welcome a discussion around a wider approach to diversity. This is in addition to important issues of gender equity and requires further discussion.

The Unions want ÌýAHPRA to agree to a 1 per cent top-of-band increase for those employees who meet their progression goals.
