CPSU NSW working with University of Newcastle regarding Easter close-down

The CPSU NSW has been working with the University of Newcastle and meeting with the VC on a weekly basis to ensure the safety of our members and to comply with the Prime Minister’s directions.
In today’s briefing the VC stated that the decision had been made to extend the Easter Break by eight days until after Anzac Day on 25 April. The university will be providing an extra three days’ concessional leave, making it four in total from 14 to 17 April. After this time you will be required to take five days’ annual leave.  A small number of staff who perform critical functions are exempted.
